Meet Our Junior Team

Arwa is a DataGen Next Step Scholar and serves as Project Manager and AIR Department Lead for The Riley Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease through SaNDAI’s Call For Us All Grant. As the organization’s lead point of contact, Arwa helps coordinate project priorities, technology implementation, client communication, and ongoing capacity-building support.

Arwa leads the AIR Department team, which includes a Project Associate/DataGen Scholar and two AI Agents, supported by SaNDAI’s core professional staff. The team works to enhance The Riley Foundation’s digital capabilities and identify ways to leverage AI, data, automation, and technology to advance its mission and better serve the sickle cell community.

Arwa is a full-time Biology student at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to continue her studies at George Mason University before pursuing a healthcare career. Her interests in science, healthcare, and service support her work with a health-focused nonprofit. Arwa is bilingual in Arabic and English.

Amaar is a DataGen Next Step Scholar and serves as Project Manager and AIR Department Lead for the LD Barksdale Sickle Cell Foundation through SaNDAI’s Call For Us All Grant. As the lead point of contact, he manages the relationship between the grantee and SaNDAI and coordinates technology implementation, project priorities, and capacity-building activities.

Amaar leads a team that includes a Project Associate/DataGen Scholar and two AI Agents, supported by SaNDAI’s core professional team for technical and strategic guidance. In this role, he is gaining practical experience managing a technology-enabled team and helping the organization improve communication, operational efficiency, and service to individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease.

Amaar is a second-year Law student at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to transfer to George Mason University. His interest in law, along with experience in project leadership and emerging technology, provides a multidisciplinary perspective on advocacy, organizational effectiveness, and community service. Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Amaar is known for his sense of humor and enjoys playing jokes on family and friends.

Rasha is a DataGen Next Step Scholar and serves as Project Manager and AIR Department Lead for Sickle Cell Association Inc. in Hampton Roads, Virginia, through SaNDAI’s Call For Us All Grant. As the primary AIR Department contact, Rasha coordinates technology and capacity-building initiatives and supports implementation and ongoing client engagement.

Rasha leads the AIR Department team, which includes a Project Associate/DataGen Scholar and two AI Agents, with support from SaNDAI’s core professional team. Her role offers hands-on experience in project management, client service, AI-enabled operations, and digital transformation, while contributing to an organization that supports individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease.

Rasha is a second-year Cybersecurity major at Glendale Community College. Her academic background informs her approach to responsible technology adoption, especially as nonprofits increasingly depend on digital systems, data, and AI. Outside her studies and professional development, Rasha enjoys spending time with friends.

Yakoob is a DataGen Next Step Scholar and serves as Project Manager and AIR Department Lead for Alaku Inc. through SaNDAI’s Call For Us All Grant. As the primary AIR Department contact, he manages project priorities, coordinates implementation, and aligns the organization’s mission and operations with SaNDAI’s technology and capacity-building resources.

Yakoob leads a team that includes a Project Associate/DataGen Scholar and two AI Agents, with support from SaNDAI’s core team. His leadership offers practical experience in project management, client engagement, AI implementation, data analytics, and digital transformation, while directly strengthening a mission-driven organization.

Yakoob is a second-year Computer Science and Data Analytics student at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to continue his studies at George Mason University. His technical interests and dedication to community service make the Call For Us All initiative a natural fit for his academic and professional growth. He is passionate about giving back and using his skills to create opportunities for others.

Yousiff is a DataGen Next Step Scholar and serves as Project Manager and AIR Department Lead for Sickle Cell Chapters of Virginia through SaNDAI’s Call For Us All Grant. He acts as the primary contact for the AIR Department, coordinating project activities, technology priorities, implementation, and capacity-building support.

Yousiff leads the AIR Department team, which includes a Project Associate/DataGen Scholar and two AI Agents, with support from SaNDAI’s core team. In this role, he is gaining experience in client engagement, team leadership, project management, AI-enabled operations, and technology implementation, while helping strengthen the digital capacity of organizations serving Virginia’s sickle cell community.

Yousiff is a second-year Information Technology student at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to transfer to George Mason University. His studies provide a strong technical foundation for his work in the AIR Department and enable him to apply his technology skills to organizational needs. Outside of academics and work, Yousiff enjoys spending time with friends.
