Expanding the Reach of the NCFM Sickle Cell Support Group
Founded in 1989, NCFM has been a pillar of affordable, high-quality primary care for underserved communities in South Carolina. But when CEO Ernest Brown saw the growing need for support around sickle cell disease (SCD), he knew the community deserved more. With the support of State Representative John King and crucial state grants, NCFM launched the Sickle Cell Support Group to provide awareness, education, and care. However, the group’s impact remained limited to local communities, and we saw the opportunity to extend their reach far beyond.
The problems we needed to solve
NCFM came to us with a mission: to expand the Sickle Cell Support Group’s influence across South Carolina. They wanted to connect with over ten new partners and engage a broader audience beyond their two locations. The task was clear but ambitious—how do you amplify a crucial support network to touch lives statewide?
The solutions we proposed
At SaNDAI Global, we crafted a comprehensive strategy centered on digital transformation, data insights, and community engagement, setting NCFM on a path to reach those who needed it most.
What have we achieved
Our partnership with NCFM didn’t just change the scope of their support group; it redefined it. NCFM expanded its reach from a local initiative to a statewide force, connecting with over 21,000 individuals across South Carolina. With enhanced outreach and engagement, NCFM emerged as a leader in sickle cell disease awareness, setting a new benchmark in community health.
What this means going forward
At SaNDAI Global, we believe in the power of innovation and community. Our strategic approach transformed the NCFM Sickle Cell Support Group into a statewide resource, leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and strong partnerships. Together, we didn’t just extend the reach of a support group—we helped create a legacy of improved health outcomes for individuals affected by sickle cell disease, inspiring similar initiatives for the future.
